The story

Legacy, honor, and the spirit of the masters

Jacob grew up working a farm, far from the capital where the tyrant King Valor rules. He has always felt there was more to his life than the fields. He has no idea how much more.

The Wu Lin Temple has already fallen, but in secret Jacob trains under Tora, one of its last surviving grandmasters. When he fights his way into the deadly Tournament of the King, he starts to learn the truth about who he is. To protect the people he loves, he will have to master the old martial traditions for himself.

Jacob The farm boy Studying under Tora, one of the last grandmasters of the Tiger Style.

Who's making it?

Grandmasters is written by James E. Whitley III, with art by Sairam Gutierrez, and published by Grandmaster Comics. Every page is drawn by hand by working comic artists.

Who is it for?

Anyone who grew up on kung fu movies, anime, or epic fantasy. It's for all ages, with martial arts action kept age-appropriate.

Do I need to read the other books?

No. Every book in the universe stands on its own. Grandmasters is the place to start, and the other books connect to it over time.

Will you ship outside the U.S.?

Shipping regions and costs will be posted on the Kickstarter page before launch. Join the list and you'll hear as soon as they're set.
